Audience favorite Isabelle Carré ("À la Carte!", "Wine Tasting for Beginners") shines as a determined EU envoy who organizes a state visit to a Sicilian refugee camp. A challenging task! Not least because her estranged son gets involved on the spot as an activist and criticizes her and her mission. With fine irony, the bitter satire "Continental Drift" examines the contradictions of European politics and unmasks its double standards. The film premiered at the 2022 Cannes International Film Festival.
