What an evening! The premiere of “More than Strangers” at the sold-out Puschkino in Halle (Saale) was a complete success. The audience experienced an absolutely gripping movie screening! Afterwards, they even had the unique opportunity to gain deeper insights into the making and background of the film in a super lively Q&A session with director Sylvie Michel, actors Samuel Schneider and Léo Daudin and screenwriter MarÍa Teresa Curzio.
A central theme of the film and the subsequent discussion was the contrast between today's freedom to travel in Europe and the barriers that still exist - a topic that really moves people! “Today, travel is easy, but for many people borders remain insurmountable obstacles,” emphasized Sylvie Michel.
“More than Strangers” is a film that tackles current social and political challenges with lightness and humor and makes you think - and is really fun to watch! The filming, most of which took place inside a car, was also a real adventure for the team. “You get to know each other really well in the car - it's almost like a family trip,” joked Samuel Schneider.

Berlin: An inspiring evening at Filmkunst 66!
The screening of More Than Strangers attracted a large audience who enjoyed not only the film but also a lively Q&A session with director Sylvie Michel, screenwriter MarÍa Teresa Curzio and actors Samuel Schneider, Léo Daudin and surprise guest Samuel Finzi.
Michel revealed that the idea for the film came from a personal experience in which she questioned her own prejudices. Curzio emphasised the shared humour that makes the story entertaining. Daudin was pleased with his role as cool George, while Schneider emphasised the multilingualism of the film and the special atmosphere on set. Finzi caused laughter when he reported on a wild stunt scene.
