Lisa_Martinek_webseite.jpg © Marisa Villareale Lisa Martinek was born in Stuttgart in 1972 and studied at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg from 1993 to 1997. During her training at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, she already acted and took on her first roles in cinema and TV films. From 1997 to 2001 she was a permanent ensemble member at the Schauspielhaus Leipzig. Further engagements at Schauspiel Frankfurt and the Deutsches Theater in Berlin followed.

For her portrayal of Lena in the film "Trial by Fire" (awarded the audience prize at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis) she was nominated for the German Film Award in 1998, for "Jagd auf den Flammenmann" she received a nomination for the German Television Award. Lisa Martinek can be seen in many films, including "Das Zimmermädchen und der Millionär", "Klemperer – Ein Leben in Deutschland", "The Zurich Engagement", "Alles muss raus – Eine Familie rechnet ab", "Eine Hand Voll Gras", "Rendezvous", "Die Schuld der Erben", "Labyrinth of Lies". From 2006 to 2012 she played the role of commissioner Clara Hertz in the crime series "Das Duo". "The Prodigal Sister" is the first film the Stuttgart-born actress has shot in Swabian.
